Bronze group with brown patina representing a woman in medieval clothes carrying a child in her arms, a beautiful allegory of motherhood illustrating the poem by Clotilde de Surville (1405-1498), "Verselets à mon premier-né".
We can also read on the base plate the first verse:

O dear child, true punishment of your father,
Sleep on the seyn that your bousche has pressed!
Sleep, little one; cloz, amy, on your mother's seyn,
