Very beautiful painting depicting a young woman preparing a bouquet of roses on a table draped with an embroidered tablecloth. Oil on finely painted panel.

Albert Glibert was born in 1832 and died in 1917 in Brussels.
Genre painter and Belgian etcher, he exhibited humorous genre paintings in Brussels and Vienna from 1860 to 1880. We know of him some etchings after L. Dansaert. He left a collection of costumes from the 17th and 18th centuries to the Conservatoire des Arts et Métiers in Brussels.
